lyrics

I'm made up of salt water wind.
Can you taste me on your tongue as the breeze blows me in?
Sometimes I feel like this city is my best friend,
but not even State Street could ever justify my means with the ends.

Headed downtown on a busted spoke
just for five old movies and a can of coke.
And I know I'm pushing broke,
but I would drop every last dime in the record store with you.

Cuz I know no matter how much I owe, that the music will always be there to see me through.

And I hope you feel that way too.

Take pleasure in the little things: A set of brand new strings and the smell of a bright summer moon. I like to make you laugh when you're not in the mood.

They can take away everything from me but they'll NEVER get their hands on State Street in June.

And I don't see it leaving my mind anytime soon.
